Argentina - WNA Nuclear Century Outlook 

Overview 

  • Argentina has two nuclear reactors generating nearly one tenth of its electricity.
  • Its first commercial nuclear power reactor began operating in 1974
  • Completion of the Atucha 2 reactor is expected in 2011. 
  • Argentian has held discussions with Russian, Canada, the US, South Korea and France on possible collaboration on future nuclear developments.
